Two programs have been initiated by the Moroccan administration early 2018 to disseminate the BPA developed and tested under the PAMPAT project.
- The program of the chamber is to set up a pilot cactus farm (5 hectares) in Mesti, in the form of a field school. The plot is identified and the convention for its development and action plan defined and signed. The production improvement techniques to be disseminated have been validated and the first techniques are in place. This plot will serve as a model for the training and supervision of producers in the area.
- The program of the local departments of the Ministry of Agriculture targets 12 small demonstration plots in 4 communes in the Sidi Ifni area. The PAMPAT project will be responsible for training trainers (managers from the various administrations involved, responsible for supervising producers at the 12 pilot plots). The setup agreement was signed in February 2017 and the works to start practicing the techniques has started.
